45 BSF Troopers to Attend Boot Camp on Drone Technology
The Border Security Force (BSF) in Punjab has launched a five-day boot camp in collaboration with Dr. BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, with support from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The boot camp, titled “Drone Technology: Ethics and Application for Border Management,” began on Monday and is being attended by 45 BSF personnel.
This intensive training program is designed to enhance the BSF personnel’s operational capabilities by equipping them with advanced skills in drone technology. Leading experts from the drone technology industry are providing the training, focusing on the latest drone applications with a particular emphasis on improving border management.
Atul Fulzele, the Punjab BSF Inspector General, inaugurated the event, highlighting the importance of integrating advanced technology into BSF operations. He noted that the strategic use of drones could significantly enhance the effectiveness of border management and help combat the increasing challenge of drug smuggling across borders. According to Fulzele, the knowledge and skills gained from this boot camp are expected to substantially improve the operational efficiency of BSF personnel in the field, ensuring India’s borders are secured with greater precision and effectiveness.
